Cindy’s Cancer Update: Approaching Day 100

Cindy is steadily approaching the important 100-day mark after her stem cell transplant. This has been one of the critical milestones her team has been watching for as her new immune system continues to strengthen.

Each week, she and our mom make the trip to Boston for blood work. The labs have been coming back encouragingly good, which is a real source of relief and a sign that her body is doing the work of recovery.

That said, she still has days where fatigue and nausea hit hard. Recovery at this stage is rarely linear, and she’s taking it one day at a time; resting when she needs to and focusing on eating and drinking enough.

We’re grateful the blood counts are holding strong and that the weekly monitoring is going well. Reaching day 100 won’t mean the end of the road, but it is a meaningful checkpoint, and we’re holding onto the progress she’s making.

Thank you, as always, to everyone who continues to check in, pray, send meals or gift cards, and support the family in so many ways. It truly helps.

Ways to help right now:

  • Easy, gentle meals or snacks she can keep down on the tougher days
  • Gift cards for groceries or delivery
  • Items from Cindy’s Amazon wishlist
  • Monetary support for ongoing medical costs, travel to Boston, and family needs (email sbsoc82@gmail.com)

We’ll keep sharing updates as she moves through this next stretch. Thank you for walking with us.

With love and gratitude,
Amber (and Cindy)
